THE NATURE CONSERVANCY EXHIBIT
Location: Washington DC area
In 2006, members of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters partnered with the Virginia and Maryland chapters of The Nature Conservancy to depict selected properties in paintings. Each member was given a property to visit over the course of a year in order to do plein air sketches and at least one large studio painting based upon the sketches. Many of these studio paintings were published in the Spring 2008 Nature Conservancy Magazine and also on their website at www.tnc.org. My painting of the Choptank Wetlands appears on page 54. I hope to have the date and site of the exhibit of these paintings to share with you in the near future.
